What exactly does a Pet Wedding Assistant/ Chaperone do?
I take care of every detail so your dog can be part of your big day without any stress on you or your guests. This includes transport, ceremony support, walking and settling them, photo assistance, treats, comfort breaks, and drop-off at home.
Do you only do weddings?
Not at all! While weddings are my specialty, I also support dogs at engagements, proposals, birthday celebrations, photoshoots, and special events. If your pup is part of your story, I’m there to help.
Can my dog be involved in the ceremony?
Absolutely! Whether they walk down the aisle, sit with the crowd, or simply show up for photos, I help coordinate their role so everything runs smoothly.
What if my dog gets nervous, excited, or barky?
Totally okay — I work with all personalities. With 13+ years in the pet industry, I’m comfortable managing anxious, reactive, or high-energy pups. If needed, I can walk them slightly away from the crowd until they settle.
Do you offer transport?
Yes. I provide safe, secure transport to and from the venue, plus support during the ceremony and photos. You can relax knowing your pup will be with me the entire time.
Do you offer overnight pet sitting?
Yes - for Down South and Destination events, overnight care can be arranged either the night before the wedding, the night of the celebration, or both. This is subject to availability and suitable pet-friendly accommodation being available.
I don’t provide overnight pet sitting for Perth Metro events, but I’m more than happy to help organise a trusted pet sitter. I work with reliable sitters who can keep your dog comfortable and safe once the celebrations are over.
What areas do you service?
I service Perth and surrounding suburbs. If your location is further out, just ask — I’m happy to chat about options.
How long is a typical booking?
Most couples choose the Ceremony & Photos Package (3.5 hours), but I can customise timings to suit your day. Time starts from pick-up and ends at drop-off.
Do you need to meet my dog before the wedding?
A complimentary meet and greet as well as walk on lead is included. It allows me to see how your dog handles on lead, and lets your dog get comfortable with me before the big day, making everything feel calmer and more familiar.
Do you feed and settle my dog afterwards?
Yes. After drop-off, I make sure they’re fed, settled, and safe before I leave.
Can you help with props, outfits, or accessories?
Definitely — bow ties, bandanas, flower collars… I can help with styling and make sure everything is fitted comfortably.
How do I secure a booking?
A $200 non-refundable deposit locks in your date. The remaining balance is due four weeks before your wedding or event.
Can you look after more than one dog?
Yes! I’m happy to care for multiple dogs — just let me know during the inquiry.
Can other pets be included in weddings/ events, or is it just for dogs?
Yes — while Wedding Woofs specialises in dogs, I absolutely welcome other beloved pets to be part of your special day where possible. If you’re hoping to include another furry (or feathered!) family member, please reach out and we can chat through the details to ensure everything is handled with care and consideration.
